As part of my journey into retirement, I set myself a number of challenges, including this one.
INTRODUCTION
365 Days of Photos is a photographic challenge documenting 2025 through daily observation. Each month follows a deliberately chosen theme designed to encourage curiosity and challenge how we see and interpret the world. From these daily images, one photograph is selected each week (via family and friends’ voting), forming a curated visual diary of the year — both personal and collective in perspective.
CHALLENGE
To take one photograph each day of 2025 that represents a moment, place or story from that day.
RULES
Taking just “any old photo” seemed to defeat the objective, so I therefore set myself the following rules:
TELL A STORY: Each photograph should tell a story rather than simply be an image.
THEME: Each month to be guided by a theme.
FULL-FRAME CAMERA: A full-frame camera should be used wherever possible, rather than a mobile phone.
CURATION THROUGH SELECTION: Weekly favourites to be chosen by family and friends via Facebook voting.
